As I always rant and rave about the macro breweries, there are several good I call if wrong maybe a brewer like Samuel Adams and Petes Craft brewers, and I like most all their beers, good quality, good price, widespread availability, and just plain damn good session beers.
One I look for each year is the Spring Ale, and here the little devil is pretty and golden amber setting in my glass, the head humongous in size, frothy in texture, bright white in color and a decent sheet of lace. Nose is mostly malt, quite crisp and fresh, a bit lemon-like, a pleasant sniffing beer, with the start sweet malt and the top moderate in fee; Finish is lightly carbonated, the hops present but delicate in their spiciness, somewhat dry and a just plain decent beer.

Found handwritten notes. Presumably written about 11 years ago.
Appearance - Cloudy yellow orang body, small white head with good retention and stick. 4.5
Smell - [???] of citrus sweetness. Light and fruity. 4.5
Taste - Full flavored for the style. Sickly sweet. Some hop residue 3.5
Mouthfeel - Creamy, full bodied for style. Not thick. Not watery. 4
Overall - Well balanced. Doesn't feel appropriate for style. But still delicious! 4

Yellow pour, ample clarity, lots of white lush head well over 1". Aroma was mild, bready, lemon, spritzy, kind of the usual kolsch edge.
Taste had that light body and minimal citrus feel. Noble hops, standard affair stuff.
