Sam Adams Spring Ale: this is a Kolsch style beer, and is by far and away my least favorite Sammy seasonal. A very clear beer, with a pale amber color. Nice white head, and a fairly nice aroma. The taste, however, is simply uninspiring, a flat malt taste, unrelieved by hops, or any other noticeable tastes. It is exceptionally easy to drink, but only because it is simply astonishingly low in flavor profile. Jason posted elsewhere that Sammy should go with a mai-Bock, and I heartily concur.

Found handwritten notes. Presumably written about 11 years ago.
Appearance - Cloudy yellow orang body, small white head with good retention and stick. 4.5
Smell - [???] of citrus sweetness. Light and fruity. 4.5
Taste - Full flavored for the style. Sickly sweet. Some hop residue 3.5
Mouthfeel - Creamy, full bodied for style. Not thick. Not watery. 4
Overall - Well balanced. Doesn't feel appropriate for style. But still delicious! 4

Yellow pour, ample clarity, lots of white lush head well over 1". Aroma was mild, bready, lemon, spritzy, kind of the usual kolsch edge.
Taste had that light body and minimal citrus feel. Noble hops, standard affair stuff.
