Picked this up in a six-pack from my local store. 12 oz bottle poured into a standard pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a dark golden hue with a two-finger head that dissipates quickly. Very minimal lacing to be found as I drink.

Smell: Smells pretty good, like wheat, malts, and cherries. The cherry smell is actually pretty overpowering. Not really picking up any other notes, though.

Taste: Not as good as it smells, that's for sure. First you taste cherries, then you taste malt/wheat with a bit of alcohol taste, and then the aftertaste is a lingering cherry. Not too appetizing.

Mouthfeel: Average to light carbonation with a medium body and a "crisp finish," as the bottle puts it.

Overall: An alright beer, not something that I'd seek out again, but if offered I wouldn't turn it down.

Into a pint glass:

A: pale amber body, small white head, thin lacing sliding quickly into the body

S: cherries up front, faint malt, slight wheat and yeast in the background more so as the beer warms

T: sweet and tart at different times through the cherries, wheat plays a slight part, yeast comes out to help balance

M: light to medium, sessionable, sweet aftertaste and finish

O: good beer to get those malt drinkers over to the beer side, yet I would still have it again.

Pours a pale amber with a thin lacing of head. The nose has notes of cherries and very faint malt. The taste is faint malt, faint cherries, and slight yeast. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

This isn't a bad beer, but it's syrupy and medicinal at times. The cherry flavor is faint, and overall, this is a one dimensional, easy drinker.

On-tap at some bar deep in queens; served in a weizen glass.

A: Its a clear staw with a smidgen of white head...nothing wrong here

S: Smells like artificial cherry pie filling. I know SA claims that this is from real cherries, but I've never smelled cherries that smelled like this. Its a pretty rough aroma - cloying and nasty; no wheat here.

T: Tastes like they took coastal wheat and dumped a tablespoon of Robitussin in it, seriously, that's exactly what it tastes like.

D: Due to it being nasty, this one loses in the drinkability department. Its not bad enough to be a drainpour, but its flavour is just not that good. Fortunately, the flavour is a little light.

Overall: I was not a fan of this. Its tough to make a good fruit wheat beer, and still every brewery thinks they can do it. This is pretty rough stuff and lacks the balance that Sam Adams usually gets down.

A: Hazy orange/yellow. Creamy, off-white head that sticks around. Decent lacing.

S: Cherry aroma is dominant.

T: Again, cherry is way up front. I do get some of the wheat flavor but I had to look for it. No alcohol taste, dryness or bitterness. If you like cherry, it's actually very drinkable.

M: Lighter body. Average carbonation.

O: Not the most complex of beers but I thought it was pretty refreshing and enjoyable. Would drink again in the summer.
