Consumed February 13th, 2014 at P.F. Chang's, Santa Monica, CA.
Beer is presented in a tall pilsener glass with frost around the bottom rim. Cloudy medium yellow with a fine, one-finger white head. Excellent lacing though not much head left.
Aroma is lemon zest and a little grass.
Flavor is very malty: wheat and crystal/caramel malt flavors. Odd for the style, but not bad. A citric bite on the finish. Very low bitterness. Malt finish lingers with a touch of corn. Sort of unbalanced and awkward overall.
Medium mouthfeel, some carbonation tingle on the tongue.
Not sure what BBC was going for here, but it's not a good example of the witbier style. It's not bad, but it's a bit macro tasting, especially on the finish. Don't think I'll be having this one again.
Serving type: on-tap

12 oz bottle poured into a lager glass.
A - Hazy light peach. Two finger head settles to a film that never leaves. Nice lacing.
S - Tangerine and coriander. Plum comes through after sitting a few minutes.
T - Malts, citrus, and coriander blend blissfully. Finishes with light hops.
M - Medium
O - Delicious and very refreshing! If you find one, grab it. Excellent session brew. Cheers!

Appearance: Cloudy haze of a light golden hue, some orange tinge
Smell: Nice, crisp, citrusy aroma. quite nice
Taste: At first extremely refreshing, hints of citrus, fruity. Then it seems a bit stale and sour like oranje juice thats about to spoil. Finally a very unpleasant musty alcoholic taste is left in my mouth. That is all I can think about after I take a sip
Mouthfeel: inadequate, a bit too watery
Overall: Sub par, borderline poor. Won't be drinking this brew ever again.
Would recommend to a woman or someone who doesn't enjoy darker beers.
