Fresh bottle from my local - font makes it look like "Gold Snap" almost. Poured from a 12oz bottle into my Hoegaarden tumbler.

Orange peel/amber body with gold highlights and a thin but lasting cap of magnolia foam. Fast running, even, sandy lacing; no legs. Average retention.

Candy like aroma with the orange peel and plum working well together, though dominating the nose.

Starts off sweet but turns bright and lightly malty rather quickly (balanced by wheat. Faintly spicy finish, with the coriander and orange lingering for quite some time. The plum adds a juicy note suggesting peach. Hibiscus peaks through as well. Low hops throughout.

Creamy, medium-light body.

A refreshing ale, though the fruit/spice additions, while well balanced and welcome are not at all restrained, so this is almost a specialty beer rather than a true wit-bier.

Appearance - Pours a hazy sunset orange with an off-white finger width head. Sub-par retention, resulting in a barren surface, minus the nigh invisibly thin line of suds around the edge of the glass. Virtually no lacing is left behind.

Smell - Corriander spice and fair orange aroma. Light wheat.

Taste - Follows the nose. Corriander spice backed by a light citrus sweetness. Wheat hits mid-taste and rides into the finish.

Mouthfeel - Light in body, with a crisp, dry finish.

Overall - The 'brewed with spice with spice added' line on the bottle scared me, as I was expecting a nasty spice bomb, but this is actually very close to your traditional wit. In all, it's okay. Pretty run of the mill craft wit. Nothing I'd necessarily buy again, but if it finds it's way into next spring's mix pack, I won't avoid it.

Half inch head fades quickly to pretty lacing.

Beautiful, almost shandy-esque, golden haze.

Faint odor indeterminate odor.

Nice amount of citrus (less than a shandy) with a faint lingering pepper or spice (coriander?).

Eminently drinkable, but more like a spring or summer beer (a late April cold snap? or something to remind you of spring when its far off). Maybe a bit too insubstantial?
