Samuel Adams Boston Ale poured a beautiful dark amber with a fleeting two-finger head and loads of lace.
The smell and taste are sweet, sweet, and tasty. As pale ales go, it's...sweet. Malt dominates and there is very little bitterness--this is not aggressive. Although I prefer aggressive ales, this was very enjoyable. The feel was super smooth and creamy, which is a detriment to a pale ale, but it greatly increased the drinkability quotient.
It didn't shake me by the collar, as a good ale should, and I may not remember it so much tomorrow; however, Samuel Adams Boston Ale was a pleasure to drink today.
