Nice deep brown color, ruby and chestnut colored edges when held to some light. Thick tan head stays around and laces up strong.
Some light roasty aroma, with chocolate and also some fruity esters are noticeable. Great rich chocolate flavor, mildly roasty. Mostly a sweet flavor with little to no bitterness, and a nice semi-clean finish, that does leave me with a lingering prune flavor. Not a lot of complexity in aroma or flavor, but delightful in it's simplicity.
Nice body on this bock and a great smooth mouthfeel, reminiscent of some cask beers I've had. You know it's in your mouth, but it's soft and velvety.
