A: Pours almost black with a two finger foamy head, which slowly settles into a thin head.
S: Chocolate, and a slight malty, metallic scent.
T: Chocolate, as advertised. Has some bread like overtones, and the malt presence is high, but the choco/cocoa is up front and center. Not much in the hops fitting the style.
M: Slightly more mouthfeel than expected, it is thick, decent carbonation makes it acceptable.
O: Confused by the "Bock" label as it then goes on to say "Ale with Cocoa and Natural Flavors". I though a bock beir was a lager? This is definately not a lager like bock so why the label? I digress, overall I enjoyed the trial. Decent but too much chocolate for the style. Will not be buying this again, ready to move on
