Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a pitch black color with a thin, long lasting tan head. Aroma is more subtle than I expected, but there is definitely chocolate, along with dark malt character, and caramel. The taste is very good, sweet at first, dark chocolate right up front that fades to a coffee like mocha flavor. There is a balance to the sweetness in the bitter chocolate character of the darker malts. Low carbonation, full body, and a very nice creamy mouthfeel. This almost reminds me of drinking chocolate milk. Excellent beer overall, brings unique character to the style while not straying too far away.
