After this review, you might see why I'm glad thier Brewmaster Collection Variety 6-pack has taken this out and replaced it with its Honey Porter. On to the beer:
A very thin head arises on top the cloudy and hazy yellow-orange beer. It's a hoppy smell, with notes of mixed fruits. Taste is just like the smell, but with lemon pepper added to the mix. Phenolic flavors are nowhere to be found. Mouthfeel is annoying, and makes my tongue feel weird.
Fortunately, I have a lemon I can slice and add to my beer. I'm hoping I can enhance this Hefe somehow, as this is a last resort. Drop in some lemon juice, and now I smell Mr. Clean. Oh, and what remained of the head has now vanished. The taste hasn't gotten any better either. So much for that.
Back to the drawing back on this stuff.
