Appearance: Pours with an orangey-yellow body and a white head which keeps being replenished by all the bubbly which is running throughout the brew.
Smell: Nice fresh yeasty smell, a bit of marzipan and fresh banana. Otherwise it's a bit plain.
Taste and Mouthfeel: Not nearly as clean as the Cherry Wheat from Sam's. Skunky, pale ale type of start. Over-toasted malt-ish flavor, in a wheat beer? Not sure what's going on here.. the flavors are too muddy. Somewhere in the mix there is a wheat taste, something like fruit, and a bitter finish. But it's not balanced well enough to enjoy. Feels smooth in body nicely carbonated with good length (not too great since the flavor is kind of blah).
Drinkability: Low. So many hefeweizens are easy to drink, what's up with this one?
