My childbride brought me home a six pack she purchased at Northridge Liquors in Ellicott City, MD.
Serving Type: bottle
Apperance: it looks like any other wheat beer - cloudy with an excellent long-lasting head.
Aroma: It has a great aroma for a beer, but, in the land of hefeweizens, it's aroma is below average.
Taste: What was lacking in the aroma came through in the taste. The esters are very prevalent, but I have had much better hefe's
Mouthfeel: Dy-no-Mite. Smooth, soft finish, and, like"Polygamy Porter", I says softly "Why have just one?"
Drinkability: This would be a great session beer if it were not for the 5% plus alcohol content. I did finish the six pack and would have gone for another had the store bot been closed,
This is the best beer for which I have paid Jim Koch. It is head and shoulders above any American lager I have tasted, but it is lacking a lot in aroma and somewhat in taste when compared with other hefeweizens..
