as an american pale wheat ale, it's not too bad, but the hefeweizen claim bothers me. it pours a nice slightly hazy (not hazy enough for me!) golden color with a tall white head that slowly recedes. the aroma is slightly wheaty with a bit of fruit, i guess, but leaves me largely nonplussed. the taste follows suit with a touch of wheat and a bit of banana, but not the bavarian hefe i know, and while we're at it where did the wheat go in the body? still though, not a bad drinking beer, a good summer sipper.
