Hazy golden and filled with smooth wheat character, our Hefeweizen is our take on the classic German beer. Notes of clove and banana, signatures of this traditional style, accent the aroma and flavor, and are complemented by a subtle bready malt character. Clean and crisp, this beer pairs best with a sunny summer day.

Hefeweizen pours a copper color, with a small, long lasting head. Meaty aroma, lots and lots of spices. Flavor is creamy, with a huge hit of sweet dry spices. Good body and feel. Overall, a very strong, overpowering hefe.

12 Oz Bottle poured into glass
Look - very clear yellow colored with a thick white foam. Bizarre bubble appearance, looks highly carbonated. Not much lacing on the glass. The Sam Adams bottle labels are getting less and less unique.
Smell - Aroma of various spices, cloves being the dominant. Some minor notes of banana, vanilla, brown sugar, wheat bread, eggnog
Taste - Wow, this is a lot sweeter than it smelled. It doesn't have one flavor that really stands out (Banana + Cloves mashed together), but there is a slight soapy water taste. It is not heavy at all. Very drinkable. Only the slightest bitterness detected. It's a bit too sweet for my personal preference, almost like a Belgian sugary pastry.
Overall, it is enjoyable, it's certainly different than most beers but just not a beer i would prefer
I give this beer a grade of B

Look - poured from a 12 oz bottle. Hazy golden color, with a one finger head + lacing. Appears to be quite carbonated
Smell - bananas, cloves, bubble gum, and a fair bit of sweetness. Light, but pleasant.
Taste - nice strong wheat flavor, but remains fairly crisp in the finish. Refreshing without sacrificing too much on flavor.
Feel - light to medium bodied, high carbonation (for a hefe), and average ABV at 5.4%.
Overall - I've certainly had better, but this is not at all bad. There are so many phenomenal hefes out there that this doesn't at all stand out, but it's definitely still enjoyable.

Poured from bottle into weizen glass. Poured a slightly cloudy gold with thick fluffy white head. Notes of spice, clove, and banana in the aroma. Taste followed the nose. Clean crisp and smooth. Light bodied. Very nice brew.
