A: Very dark with a thick tanish white head (reminded me of a rootbeer float). Slight reddish hue towards the bottom of the glass when held up to the light. Quite a bit of lacing around the glass, but it tends to slide off pretty easily. No visable carbonation
S: This may be the best smelling stout I've ever had. Very strong scent of sweet coffee and chocolate. Kind of reminds me of cappuccino jelly bellys.
T: A little disapointing at first. The taste was not as strong as the smell unfortunatly, but still pretty good. Leaves an aftertaste similar to the aftertaste of coffee. Flavors start to get stronger as it warms up a bit. The roasty maltiness is the center of attention, but there is a little bit of hop bitterness lingering in the background.
M: medium bodied , with more carbonation then I'm used to with stouts.
D: While this isn't the strongest stout it is still good and something I can see myself getting again. A good beer to initiate someone into the wonderful world of stouts as it is very easy to drink, and dosn't pack too much flavor.
