Trying this beer in the summer months isn't something I had intended upon- but nevertheless, I found it to be quite enjoyable. Best by October 2007.
A: Poured into a pint glass, and was happy to see a good tan head over this obsidian brew. Lacing was also pretty good on the glass.
S: The smell of sweet molasses, vanilla, roasted malts all came together for a very sweet and enjoyable aroma.
T: Taste is pretty solid, with the roasted sweet malts, coffee, chocolate, slightly caramel. If I had to choose a dominant flavor, it would probably be coffee.
M: For a cream stout, its alright. The carbonation is almost a little too high to call it "creamy", but overall its decent.
D: For drinking it on a summer night, I was somewhat surprised. It was great. I am a big stout fan, and will probably down quite a few of these this summer and continuing on. I loved it: delicious, solid representation, and fairly inexpensive.
