Poured from 12 oz. bottle to pint glass.

A: Pitch black, with some amber hues showing at the bottom of the glass, rocky 1 and 1/2 in. brown head lingers.
S: Smells like a mocha. Big aromas of coffee, chocolate, and caramel.
T: Charred, roasted malt play a big role in the taste. A little bit of coffee and chocolate peek through. A little sour on the finish.
M: Medium. Nice and creamy.
O: I liked this beer quite a bit. Nice and smooth, with big roasted flavors.

Samuel Adams Cream Stout brewed by Boston Beer Company, with an ABV of 4.90% This brew, pours out a dark brown color with a light brown head. The smell is rich with flavor. You pick up on grains, malts, and some hops. Now for the taste, it is bold with flavor. You pick up on malts, grains. and some hops at the end. Samuel Adams Cream Stout has a nice balance to it. There is nothing overpowering in this brew. I like how this brew is different from most brews on the market. The mouthfeel is nice, clean, and relishing. Overall I'm giving Samuel Adams Cream Stout a 4.5 out of 5. I would buy this brew again.

Samuel Adams Cream Stout - Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams). Poured from the bottle into a stout tulip glass, this brew's head is 3 fingers thick with thick, soapy lacing, and a black, clear body.

Smells like superbly roasted malts, along with a roasted toffee kind of characteristic. A bit of chocolate in here, too. This ought to be very tasty!

I taste much if the same elements as described as above with the smell. This is a very, very smooth tasting beer. All of the qualities start and stop at just the right places for me.

The mouthfeel here is outrageously smooth.

Overall, I'll rate Samuel Adams Cream Stout - Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams) with a 4.5. This was purchased 2 months after the "for brewery fresh taste, purchase, so that might have to do with this awesome experience. I will purchase this again.

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip. Opaque dark brownish black with two fingers of creamy moderately resilient tan foam. Low key nose does tease at some malt complexity, light roast coffee and cream, a whiff of vanilla caramels. Palate is fortunately more bold, with a very "old world" rich malt complexity that surprises. Has that characteristic milk stout creamy feel but with less sweetness than expected ... Roasted grains, a puff of ashtray, dark chocolate covered coffee beans, brown toast, molasses, and a lingering toffee-like sweetness lurking somewhere in the pit. It is rather difficult to convey where this beer falls along the stout continuum: My descriptors probably make this beer sound stronger tasting than is the case. Everything is more robust than a Guinness or comparable Irish dry but more subtle than an imperial. Lingering roasted cafe latte like malts in the semi-dry finish. The sweetness does become more salient over time as the bitter receptors chill out. I am getting more hop character than expected as well, an earthy grass-herb note from beginning to end. I have yet to see this here in Alberta, had to seek it out down south. Worth the search.
