A- Pours a deep, reddish-brown, good foamy head.
S - Very robust with some sweetness coming through. Cinnamon, roasted malts, a bit of caramel and I feel like I can even smell some citrus buried in there.
T - Lots of caramel. Some subtle chocolate in there especially on the finish. A nice roasted nut taste.
M - Not a lot of aftertaste, it neither drys nor coats the mouth. It's on the thicker side, though.
D - Goes down easy, and the taste is very addicting, it makes you want more. It's a good think this is only 5.9%
Overall - Probably on of BBC's best beers. Lots of spice and thickness to this beer. I love the amount of caramel used. I tend to like my winter warmers a bit on the heavier ABV side, but this is a very solid beer for the wintertime. Cheers
