P: Pours an opaque brown with ruby highlights and a dollop of dark beige head. No real retention and minimal micro bubble lacing.
S: Roasty caramel malt, cheeries, brown sugar, fruit cake, holiday spices
T/M: Malt heavy and robust. Chocolate oranges, burnt brown sugar, caramel, toffee, dark breads, cinnamon, amaretto, rye and orange oil in the background. Bready and nutty profile. Subtle warming but not overly boozy which is nice. Finishes dry with lingering bitter cocoa and and smoldered wood. Prickly carbonation in a medium sticky body.
O: One of the best winter warmers I have had. Most focus too much on heavy handed booze. This really has a well married flavor profile that anyone could enjoy. I would love to drink this around a nice fire during the holidays.

12 oz. bottle poured into tulip glass. Pours a rich dark brown, almost black with ruby undertones. A medium sized tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a lot of thin lacing.
Smell is heavy in caramel and cocoa, a lot of citrus as well dark fruits, and a faint amount of cinnamon and ginger.
Taste is sweet chocolate, caramel, and toffee malts up front. The spices come through, especially towards the finish which all together makes for a really nice flavor profile front to back as the chocolate remains strong throughout. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy.
Overall, a really good, balanced winter warmer, always worth having a few each year.
