Pours a ruby red with a slightly offwhite head and lasting lacing.
Smells of cinnamon with other holiday spices and malt.
Countless flavors converge including cinnamon, allspice and lots of caramel malt. I'm loving this complex taste as I like slightly more malty sweet beers. There is a slight hop bitterness in the finish to help balance out the sweetness.
The mouthfeel is medium to heavy/thick with medium carbonation.
I find this ale to be very drinkable as the spicy/malty taste is too good. Smooth drinking with no offtasting flavors.
This is one of the better winter warmers I've had. It seems a lot of brewers are afraid to make malty beers due to the hop crazy craft beer crowd, not SA...nice work.
