Ha! I am getting a kick out of this beer. First off, I had very low expectations, based on the rather mixed reviews. Second, it ain't no friggin' lambic, so how am I supposed to rate it? But here's the weird thing: I'm enjoying this beer. It's really not much to look at -- average dark golden, nice white head that fades. The smell is cranberries on a cracker; actually made me grin. The taste is sour, but it's somewhat balanced by a slight maltiness (more bread-like than sweet). Cranberry flavor lingers in the finish. As a lambic, this beer does not even rate. As a fruit beer, however, I'm rather surprised and impressed with it.
