The beer poured a deep, dark brown with a small tan head. The head has died down to a thin film on the top of the beer. A little bit of lacing is forming on the glass as I drink.
I smell cocoa, caramel, and something that reminds me of Milk Duds.
I taste bittersweet chocolate and caramel mostly. Maybe there is a hint of coffee in there somewhere.
The mouthfeel is good. The beer is medium bodied and has a moderate level of carbonation. Good and appropriate for the style.
The drinkablity is pretty good, though it doesnt quite satisfy my porter craving. I wouldn't mind having another, but I think I'd reach for a GLBC Edmund Fitzgerald or a Fuller's London Porter first.
