Extream dark brown apperance, much like a black coffee. Light able to pass through leaving brown shades. Thin off white thick head. Strong head retention.
Not a very attractive aroma here. Faint notes of toasted grains with just a small amount of hop aroma.
Roasted grain flavor with a touch of coffee seams watered down. Some bitter hop flavor add bitterness that enhances coffee notes. A soft touch of spicy charecter adds little to offering.
A bit shy of a medium body as advertised. More on the thin side. A bit of astringent grainy flavors linger in mouth.
Run of the mill offering here from SA. Perhaps not there best offering compared to other well made brews from them. Pass this one up if in search of a delicious black lager.
