12 Ounce bottle into Barilla jar.
A: Dark on pour with a three finger ecru head. When held to the light good clarity and black-cherry-ruby-red. Head retention isn't too bad and the lacing is good.
S: Malty maltiness, with dark unsweetened chocolate, coffee and burnt caramel. And an ever so slight light rum aroma on swirl.
T: The maltiness hits you up front and i get that faint light rum presence again with a bit o' dark caramel. Ends very dry with a slight detection of hops maybe, but not much.
M: Not bad for a lager.
D: I was hoping this one would mature on warming but to me it just kind of got a bit watery and blasé. But hey this is a good beer. In a small town where the selection is minimal its very nice to find this in stock.
