Intense port aroma with lots of figgy fruit notes, alcohol and sweetness. Interesting given that this has undergone no distillation.
Cloudy golden colour with no head. Oily and sticking to the glass. I don't know what I can expect of a beer at this gravity.
Thick and sweet. The flavour is predominantly of dried figs with notes of banana, nuts, sugar, stonefruit and port. The alcohol is present but surprisingly well hidden. Really, really stunning.
Full bodied, thick and oily with no carbonation. Given that this is the aim, I have no problems with it and it works just like a spirit.
A delicious drop and something truly unique. Better than any of the other super high alcohol beers I've had.
