A near-black with tan layer of foam. Dard brown through the edges.
The aroma is ooooh so roasted malt goodness. Smells of malts, caramel, and honey control the smell of this one.
The flavor is roasted malts paired with honey. Leaves a sweeter taste than I'v known in other porters where hos are more plentiful Brewing with honey makes this one a unique porter.
The mouthfeel has a strong, solid mouthfeel. Not heavy bodied, but damn close. Mouthfeel is just what I would expect, and want, from a good porter.
Nice drinkability on this beer. This is probably the best of the Sam Adams sampler pack I pulled it out of.
