Poured a 12oz. bottle into a chalice.
A: Pours deep red-brown and somewhat clear with a quickly retreating -- but lace-leaving -- thick white head.
S: Caramel with a bit of honey. Smells interesting, but the roasted aroma I love from other American porters is mostly absent.
T and M: Goes down a bit watery with moderate to high carbonation, and completes with a smooth, honey and ginger-laced finish. Lacks the body and much of the roasted character of other porters.
D: Very drinkable.
Worth a try.
