Paid $6.99 for the Brewmasters 6-pack...
The beer pours a black base with an off-brown huge head, 1/4" head retention and nice lacing on the glass. The aroma contains a strong presence of roasted malts with secondary tones of honey and almonds.
The taste is full flavored with a great mix as the bottle suggests with an additional note of chocolate, couple this with low carbonation and a creamy head which gives it a good feel in the mouth and very drinkable for an American porter which I would gladly have a few more of, given its ideal session beer qualities.
Final Thought: Samuel Adams makes a great holiday porter and this one fits the bill too; therefore...
Samuel Adams = great porter-making brewery!
