Was interested to try a style from Sam Adams I hadn't tried before.
Poured a dark brown cola, very small light brown head, little retention.
Honey definitely stood out in the smell, along with more typical porter smells of nuts, chocolate, and coffee.
The taste: Mild hops, rich nuttiness, sweet honey. A fairly mild taste, on the sweet side from the honey but not overly so.
MF: Smooth, creamy, low carbonation.
D: Pretty good. I wasn't super excited about it, but enjoyed it enough. I ate some dark chocolate with it and thought that was really nice.
