Another beer from my Sam Adams Variety pack... a cool notion.
I was recently spoiled with a Bootlegger Brown Ale from Independence Brewing in Texas, but I'll still try to be fair.
Poured a nice clear brown color with very little head to speak of. Very little lacing.
Mellow malty and nutty aromas. Maybe a little buttery. No real hop presence
Tasted okay. Malty and nutty like the aroma would suggest. Nothing special but decent tasting. Not too nutty like other browns I've tried. Maybe a hint of bitterness.
Smooth enough mouthfeel, but with very little carbonation.
She's drinkable thats for sure. Probably could find this in some restaurants. Easy to drink and not too filling. I would drink it again. Recomend it to a friend that likes Newcastle... This is better yet not to much for a macro drinker.
