This attractive brown ale retains its head for a good while.
Scent is the familiar brown-ale malt sweetness.
Taste is lightly toasted with the caramel underneath that. And of course with some bready/nut notes in the finish as well. What holds this beer back from a better taste score is that it just doesnt seem to have the depth or richness that some of the more outstanding brown ales offer.
Mouthfeel is very smooth and clean. Low carbonation.
Another very drinkable, extremely balanced offering from Samuel Adams. According to the box, it won the 2005 beer lovers choice award.
