Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a small 1/4 inch head that fades quickly. Aroma was very fruity, perfumy and berry-like, which I'm assuming is boysenberry, but also reminded me of blueberry. Taste was of berries, grape and a little bit of maltiness mixed in. I could detect a slight hop flavor but it was pretty much overwhelmed by the strong berry flavor. Mouthfeel was light and refreshing. I've never been a big fan of fruit beers, but this one is decent. Still, it reminds me too much of those "flavored malt beverages"(i.e. wine coolers) that I used to drink back in high school and gave up when I got into craft beer. I sense that this offering is probably going to be the least impressive of this year's Longshot beers.
