A: Copper hue with a large, foamy cream-colored head; lacing is okay
S: Typical cloves and banana for a hefeweizen but even more spice characteristics on top of a bready, toffee, toasted malt finish; this smells pretty sweet and malt forward and a bit spicy
T: The typical weiss flavors are there but the cloves and spice dominate the fruity banana qualities and they don't balance quite right with the sweet bready malt undertones
F: This is pretty thin even considering the style
O: I'm a big fan of dunkelweiss and I like Sam Adams but this one doesn't quite come together like I had hope it would; not a bad beer, just not one of SA's best or one of the better options out there for the style
