A - Light amber, with ok head retention. It is a nice looking beer though, in terms of its overall body.
S - The wheat and citrus scents are ever present as they are with most weizens. Banana and cloves are also wafting around iin there.
T - Kind of tastes like banana bread, a characteristic I like alot about some weizens. However, its slightly sour towards the end, leaving a poor after taste. It seems to lack that complexity that most dunkels have. If I didnt know any better, I would think I'm drinking a lesser version of an American hefeweizen. Theres really nothing "dunkel" about it.
M - A little too much carbonation here, almost kind of bites at the tongue as one swallows. Not overly smooth, as it leaves the mouth somewhat fuzzy and unappealing.
D - Overall its not a bad beer. Though I did enjoy it, I don't think I'd have another soon after. In comparison to other dunkels, especially those from Germany, this one doesn't seem to match up. It lacks that balance of crisp wheat deliciousness with the darker notes that most dunkelweizens have.
