Bottle poured into a nonic pint glass.
A- This beer poured a beautiful hazy orange color. It had a smallish 1/2 inch head that stayed as a light lace that gently stuck to the glass. Carbonation appeared to be medium.
S- If you've ever wondered what Hallertau hops smelled like, take a whiff of this beer. It was almost like putting your nose in a bag of pellet hops. It wasn't an offensive scent, but very intense in hops.
T- The flavor was more complex than the aroma may suggest. The hop flavor was definitely the most aggressive, however there was definitely a suggestion of breadlike or biscuit malts too.
M- The mouthfeel was quite thick. The amount of hops gave some oily tones in the mouth. The carbonation was medium allowing for a smoothish thickness on the tongue.
D- Within the style it seemed pretty drinkable. However, based on the ABV and IBUs, I wouldn't be drinking more than one or two in a sitting.
Overall- A beer I'm glad I tried and I would have again. It paired really well with the curried dinner I had. The flavor cut right through the spicy dishes.
