This beer a bright amber color with a nice thick off white head. It is very hazy, I expected it to be very clear. There is plenty of lacing after the head settles down. The smell is like a real good pilsner, none of the skunk notes that the imports can get. I don't smell "An Intense Hop Experience" as the bottle says, but I can smell them. The hops are definitely there in the taste. Especially at the end once the sweetness goes away. It starts out too sweet and ends up too dry, there is a tipping point where it tastes just right. I'm not too sure about the drinkability, my mouth feels like I had a cheap cigar.
I will stick to ales and west coast hops when I want "An Intense Hop Experience".
