Pours up a hazed peachy, golden/orange color with a two-fingered off-white head with excellent retention, yet minimal lacing. Aromas are predominantly German noble hops with a little bit of husky grain peeking through. Very earthy and pilsener-like although notably stronger. First sip confirms it's strength with a fuller body, light alcohol bite and hop bitterness throughout. A solid brew for the style. Mouthfeel is full and rich with an ample carbonation level to counterbalance. Drinkability is surprisingly good despite its strength. I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of the style, but BBC has done a nice job with this brew.
