Appearance- brown to deep amber copper in color, white head quickly fades to a thin lacing, low amount of carbonation
Smell- Has that very typical pumpkin ale smell, nutmeg cinnamon malt and spice
Taste- surprisingly nice flavor profile after somewhat average nose, very malty and sweet up front with mid palate starting to enter in some of the spices, the finish has modest faint spice to it but mostly a malt dominated beer, almost the flavor of Oktoberfest with faint spice finish,
Mouthfeel- medium bodied with light carbonation goes down quite smoothly
drinkability/overall- this to me is definitely one of the most drinkable pumpkin beers of the year, I wouldn't necessarily compare it to some of the real big imperial pumpkin beers but this towers over those in drink ability, i would have to say overall this was probably the most session able pumpkin i had this year because it didn't knock you unconscious with spice, good

Poured from the bomber into a Sam Adams laser-etched glass.
Review from notes: January 18th, 2014.
A: Copper with thin white head. Good retention, some bubbles.
S: Pumpkin. Nutmeg and clove.
T: Sweet pumpkin, minimal spices. Very drinkable.
M: Nice carbonation, thin mouthfeel.
O: Good. I wasn't excited about this beer (it was in a fall sampler), but it wound up being a nice surprise. The best description for this beer is its name, "pumpkin ale". It tastes like an ale injected with pumpkin juice.
