Good. My first Pumpkin Ale for the year! Can't wait for the nice cool temps of autumn...
Poured this into a standard beer mug that is approximately 18oz in capacity space. The brew makes a large four finger thick head of tan color, and the body is dark copper in color with perfect clarity. Foam retention is pretty good, and lasts for about two minutes, before collapsing into thin lacing.
The aroma is of spices used in making pumpkin pie... Lots of cinnamon and some other earthy aromas, along with a faint vanilla and pumpkin fragrances with some metallic qualities.
The taste is pretty much caramel, some pumpkin and cinnamon, along with maybe even some baby carrot, and overall is pretty earthy.
Feels medium in body, some dryness on the palate but tasty altogether.
