Brownish-garnet in color with a khaki head. Aroma consists of sweet caramel malt, vanilla, and toasted biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium in body. The taste has and odd flavor profile. It feigns on having a sweet maltiness to it, but then the pumpkin and hops eliminate that somehow. The middle is dominated by a hearty malt and pumpkin body. Hop bitterness follows. the spicing isn't the typical "pumpkin pie" flavors, but there is clove and nutmeg.
This is kind of an average pumpkin beer in my opinion. I think a little more pumpkin spicing and a little less hoppiness would make this truly shine as a fall seasonal.
