12oz bottle from the Harvest variety pack

Pours a nice looking deep reddish color with a tan fizzy head that disipated quickly. The beer is brillantly clear and if not for the disappearing head it looks quite nice.

The smell is heavy on the spices with only a hint of the pumpkin. This is the downfall of many pumpkin beers, not featuring the pumpkin and instead making a pumpkin pie beer.

The taste is about the same: heavy spice, lots of cinammon, clove, brown sugar, and maybe a little pumpkin. Also in there is some spicy hops to bitter up the sweetness of pumpkin pie.

The mouthfeel is surprisely medium, probably because of the vegetable; however, the carbonation is high and does two things: gets in the way of the smoothness of ale and creates a nice dryness toward the end which is a suprising and welcome way to end a beer I anticipated as being too sweet.

Overall this is not a bad beer, it isn't even a bad pumpkin beer, but not one I'm going to go out of my way to drink. I'm glad it comes in the variety pack because it is a nice seasonal to throw in a session.

Poured into a standard pint a rich deep rich copper/bronze with a thinner slight off white head atop, aromas are not overspiced wich is a very good thing, toasty with a little cardamom and mace, faint cinnamon in there as well.A lighter mouthfeel detracts from the flavors and richness of the beer in my opinion.Flavors have a real pumpkin flair to them, again the spice is held in check well, and its quite warm and toasty.A solid pumpkin ale, bump up the body on this and it would be great.

Very pretty beer. In a pint glass was a beautiful cherry amber color with a tan head.
It smelled like a pumpkin pie: pumpkin and spice.
Tasted like pumpkin pie also, with a little bit of caramel malt.
Very smooth.
Not a big pumpkin beer fancier, but this one was pretty good.

A - Pours deep amber with two fingers of creamy head that has decent retention.

S - Nice pumpkin aroma up front, with some cinnamon and nutmeg. Spice aromas seem more secondary than in pumpkin beers. Also a nice caramel malt presence.

T - The spices are way more pronounced in the taste than the smell, undesirably so. All pumpkin elements from the aroma are completely overrun by the spices, especially on the finish. Smelled much better than it tasted.

M - Moderately creamy mouthfeel gives way to dryness from the spices on the finish.

O - Drinkable, but the overly intense spice isn't desirable.

honestly not a bad overall beer. the spices definitely do cancel out most of the pumpkin flavor, whatever pumpkin flavor there is its pretty mild.that said, it is refreshing, quite drinkable and has a good taste overall

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle

Appearance: Its body has a very nice deep reddish amber color with very clarity. From the pour it makes a good inch of creamy off white foam. It quickly settles down to thin covering that just hangs on to the last sip with the help of a few quick swirls. At the top of the glass it leaves some cool lace patterns.

Smell: The aroma has mostly cinnamon notes with some other pie spices over rich dark bready and pie crust like malts.

Taste/Palate: There is a pleasant cinnamon and pie spice character with mild bitterness though out. Pumpkin or squash like flavor is very light but it is there and it is supported buy sweet bready and toasty pie crust like malty flavor notes. The finish is fairly quick with mild bitterness and spice.

Notes: I am really loving this beer right now. This one is a stand out in an already solid fall mixed pack.

Beer pours dark amber in color with an initial thick head. The head dissipates but still covers the whole of the beer. It is still dense bubbles. The color is nice.

The aroma is sweet to start, it has a spiciness that isnt over the top. The mix of pumpkin and malt works well unlike many pumpkin beer that are just spices.

Carbonation is upfront and builds to fill the mouth. The malt is sweet with a taste of nutmeg and cinnamon in the midst of it all pumpkin makes a presents.
