I picked this up at the grocery store for the wife, but she knows the rules... if I get something for her, she has to save one to review. I like to call it my beer tax.
A - This one is slightly hazy, light bronze-gold but lemon yellow when held to the light. The head is about one finger, which is disappointing for the style, and lace is limited. I'm just glad that its not purple or blue!
S - Light refreshing sugary blueberries. This isn't at all like the fruit-candy that some fruit beers present on the nose. This is fresh and airy. Smells like a basic American wheat behind the refreshing blueberries... maybe this is SA's Summer brew with some added fruit.
T - Fresh blueberries topped with whipped cream, sugar, and milk. Cornflakes topped with blueberries and milk. This has a very cereal-like backbone with the flavor of those little dried up blueberries that you find in a box of Blueberry Morning cereal.
M - Mild bodied and mild mannered. There is a lot of carbonation, and the finish is soft and sweet.
D - This is a mass market appeal brew, and I have a feeling that it will sell nicely. This is approachable for the girls and non-craft beer folks, but tasty and refined enough for BA's like us to tolerate. Not bad at all. I have a feeling that this will be a summer staple in our fridge since my wife LOVES this stuff, and I think that its definitely better than Cherry Wheat.
