A hazy medium orange colored brew. Half an inch of long lasting white head on top. Only a few slowly rising carbonation bubbles. Thick spotty lace.
A very nice pine scent up front was strong but not overpowering. Citric scents quickly join the pine. Malt is a nice honey wheat aroma, but plays second to the hops.
Gritty earth flavors of grain and hops oil. Pine needles and citric are downplayed from the aroma. A bit of a plastic aftertaste clings on the tongue.
Taste cling to the tongue for a while. A nicely carbonated brew, but a hint on the watery side.
A good beer. Would work well with a rack of smoked ribs. Congrats to Mike McDole on a winning beer. The LongShot pack is always worth the cost.
