Oh, this is brilliant. Picked up this year's longshot 6-pack before I'd heard the controversy over this ale. This is so much better than the average DIPA.
A: Gorgeous golden color. Hazy. And you just know it's a heavy hop presence that's making it hazy.
S: Here's the most amazing part. There is so much going on here. Floral, citrusy, I could go on to name most of the adjectives we use for hops- there's a little of each, coming together like a symphony.
T: Everything the smell promises. A little alcohol in the taste, but it's mild. A little malt presence in the front, but it's quickly overpowered.
M: Sticky, but light and dry. I wouldn't expect it to pack the punch it does while feeling so light.
D: My mouth tells me I could drink these all night. I drank this glass embarrassingly quick. My fiance drank the other bottle. It's gone already?
Damn. This is something to shove in the face of the DIPA haters. Also, in the face of brewers of mediocre DIPAs. So good.
