A- Hazy golden with a foamy tan head. The head dissipated a bit, keeping a respectable foamy top, leaving a light lacing.
A- Extremely hoppy, but I do note a strong malt backbone as well, some caramel. Picking out the hops is a bit intimidating, flowery perfumey hops, a bit of citrus, some pine.
T- OMG, are my teeth eroding? Superb bitterness, still with that flowery hop perfumey taste. There seems to be a significant malt backing this, but the hops are overwhelming. Left a bitter aftertaste, not a bad bitterness though.
M- Medium body. Moderate carbonation.
D- After the initial bitterness I find my palate was so eroded I could drink anything. I should use this as a pre-chaser to any hard alcohol/motor oil/gasoline. I enjoyed this, but I do not support an arms race to more bittered beers. I believe this was an old winner based on pliny the elder, but I may be mistaken as I have never tried that brew yet. Check it out if you love hops.
