Yet another picked up by friend, Eric Chem (neenerzig). Poured this into a tulip to a good head that died down to a small ¼ inch head. The lacing creeps up around the edges of the glass to the top of the head. Astonishingly beautiful color to this beer, vibrant reddish orange with edges of yellow.
The taste is slightly malty then melding into a very large and lingering hop presence. Citrisy and resiny with a slight bitter quality that builds as you consume. The hops really coat the tongue after a few sips which I'm not sure if I'm keen on. Overhopped? Yes. Balanced? Also yes. This is one of those that I would be very eager to try on tap. Just noticed this is 9.6%...can't tell one bit, very well integrated!
