1 of 3 beers in the LongShot pack.
A: Yellow with a splash of dark red. Nice lasting head.
S: This smells intense. All at once and all of a sudden HOPS. Im starting to like this beer. You can smell the mix of hops, its not one, but many. I want to say cascade, centenial, northern brewer, chinook too... there is supposedly 7...
Well we now know who stole all the hops out of my local home brew store.
T: Well it tastes a whole lot like a double IPA, nothing spectacular, but nicely hopped. The malt exists in unison, but shadowed by the hop-tastrophe. I cant taste the 9.6% abv, and thats a double edged sword.
M: Bitter, but rightfully so! not.. for.. to... chug.
Its a tad bit grainy. Swirl it around in your mouth... yep... grainy.
D: I like it, will drink the other in the box very happily, and prob call it at that.
Note: I like the whole competition thing. Sam Adams doesnt really throw hops into things without regard (see arrogant bastard) but they did with this one.
