A - Pours with a small head, which mostly disappears and leaves a little lacing down the glass. This beer straddles the line between the translucent character of a kristallweisen and the cloudiness of a hefeweisen.
S - A bit of sweetness and a hint of lemon, but I'm not really getting a lot here.
T - There's a definite lemon flavor, but it's not as prominent or as well done in BBC's Summer Ale. Hops impart a bit of bitterness, but not much else. I also get a bit of soapiness in the back that really detracts from the taste. There is a faint hint of spices in the finish that adds to the beer well, but they're not balanced well into the beer enough to really make it shine. Overall, as an APWA this is a bit below average.
M - The carbonation is a bit overwhelming, but keeps it about as thick as it should be.
D - That hint of soapiness really impacts drinkability. I can't see myself having more than two of these in a session, and I'm glad there are only two of this in the sampler sixer I picked up.
