With all 5 noble hops I was expecting a choke down, but knowing Sam's I knew it would be a decent style but nothing earth shattering. Pours clean and pale yellow into pint glass, crisp smelling blend of hops with a light head of about an eighth of an inch. Pleasantly surprised by the good burst of hops in the front end which gives way to a nice clean finish. Could definitely enjoy a couple with a meal or a few in a sitting. I would like to try this on tap...now if I could only get their wonderful scotch ale in a six again instead of the winter mixer 12, the scotch ale is still my personal favorite from Sam's after the quad bock
