Wow, what a great seasonal. Too bad it might not be out when it's warmer heh. This is a perfect quencher with some real nice flavor and perfect balance. The extra hops, and the fullness of 5 different types they add creates such a pleasant aroma, taste and burp.
This is really a great testament to what pilsner can be. If you like pilsners, you'll love this.
A - Clear medium gold. Crystal clear actually. Casual bubbles work their way to the top. Nice thin blanket of foam stays on the surface and lends to some excellent lacing which will last the length of the glass.
S - A real nice Pilsner grainy-ness. Smells like walking in a wheat field. A nice subtle but easy to find aroma of hops. I think some slight dry hopping of the earthiest one of the hops would get it a 5.
T - A nice full grainy flavor with a perfect addition of hop flavor that kinda comes and goes. Such a good pilsner taste. I would use this as an example of an excellent pilsner to someone that was unfamiliar.
M - Dry, clean, refreshing. Cleansing carbonation and freshness from the hops.
D - Supreme. Very easy to drink. The nice dryness would help it cut through greasy or fatty foods. Might be a bit to dry in the finish to have too many.
I really hope they make this one of their regular beers, and not just a seasonal. I would really like to drink this in the summer after some yard work.
